Boston-Power, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to provide leadership and expertise in the Quality Department of Boston-Power's new plant in Chongqing.  Reporting directly to the Global VP of Quality, the successful candidate will manage the quality of the manufacturing line operations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced and dynamic high tech company. You will have broad responsibility to lead production staff to execute and improve manufacturing processes and enforce company policies and processes in the manufacturing of rechargeable batteries. 

Roles and Responsibilities 
• Understand variation and be able to identify and measure it in order to implement a continuous improvement program. 
• Develop goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory functions.
• Implement and communicate the Boston-Power quality plan. 
• Manage documentation related to Quality System guidelines. 
• Act as Quality Assurance project lead for cross-functional projects including determining QA timelines and plans. 
• Provide leadership for developing and directing Quality improvement initiatives (Cost-of-Quality reductions, Audit systems, etc.). 
• Manage and maintain the Company's internal quality audit program and assess improvement initiatives resulting from all Quality Audits. 
• Effectively interact with Production and Engineering teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products. 
• Manage training of all factory personnel in the requirements, documentation and maintenance of the corporate Quality System. 
• Manage and maintain the company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods. 
• Establish an auditing program and lead compliance audits of third party suppliers. 
Ensure quality levels are maintained through the use of quality tools such as Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, flowcharts, control charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams and histograms, affinity diagrams, tree diagrams, process decision program charts, matrix diagrams, interrelationship digraphs, prioritization matrices and activity network diagrams, and process improvement tools using root cause analysis, PDCA, Six Sigma DMAIC model, PFMEA and SPC. 



Qualifications 

• Minimum of 5 years of Quality Supervisory/Management experience within a related industry. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Good command of the English language. 
• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities. 
• Experience in quality systems. 
• Experience in quality system audits. 
• Experience with statistical sampling plans and trending analyses. 
• Professional certifications in the Quality field preferred. 
• Six Sigma Black belt preferred.
